LDS Facts

This hub is created to share information about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It will explain about the church, its beliefs, and how we are Christians who believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior.

This site is not affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at all. This statement has to be said primarily because I am just a mom of two who writes unintelligibly at times, a little off humor at other times, and is just trying to give information about a church she loves.

Everything you find in this hub will be accurate because I am never wrong, lol! Actually if you find errors, please let me know so I can correct them. I am not a scriptorian, a know everything about the churcher, or anything like that.

Joseph Smith-

-- At age 14 saw God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ in spring of 1820

--It was the confusion of the different faiths that inspired Joseph to learn for himself which of all of the churches were true.

--Just as Abraham, Moses, and other prophets served God as prophets, Joseph Smith was the first prophet for the last days.

--Age 17 Joseph is visited by the angel Moroni September 21-22

--Age 21 Joseph Smith Jr. marries Emma Hale in South Bainbridge New York

--Age 22 A transcript and partial translation of the Book of Mormon given to Martin Harris

--Age 22 Martin Harris loses 116 pages of transcript

--Age 23 Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery receive Aaronic Priesthood from John the Baptist.

--Age 23 Joseph receives the Melchizedek Priesthood and is ordained an apostle by Peter, James, and John.

--Age 23 Joseph completes the translation of the Book of Mormon

--Age 24 Printed copies of the Book of Mormon are available.

--Age 24 Joseph officially organizes church

--Age 24 Joseph arrested on false charges of disorderly conduct but he is acquitted.

--Age 24 Joseph begins translation of Bible

--Age 26 Joseph becomes prophet of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

--Age 26 Joseph is attacked by a mob

--Age 28 Joseph leads Zions Camp out of Kirtland

--Age 30 Joseph sees Christ in the temple along with Elijah, Moses and Elias

--Age 32 Receives revelation about tithing and it is instituted in the Church.

--Age 36 Articles of Faith

--Age 38 Joseph runs for President of the United States

--Age 38 Martyrdom of Joseph Smith, killed in Carthage

God has a plan for your life and for mine. We are all an integral part of the plan of salvation and he cares for you. He knows who you are inside and what your potential is.
